Our work improves health and supports the local agriculture and economies in southern and eastern Africa. We believe that access to clean water is a fundamental human right, it not only has a massive impact on health but also on education and agricultural production. Clean water means that children can go to school and communities can farm and sell their own produce, generating their own income. With the help of our innovative, cost effective and community-centred technology we establish sustainable supplies of clean water and safer sanitation provisions. Pump Aid campaigns to raise awareness about the global water and sanitation crisis and to bring about change in these areas. We want the world to know about the extent of the water and sanitation crisis and we work tirelessly to champion these fundamental human rights and lobby to make a lasting impact. Our campaigns focus on both prevention and cure and their fundraising and political elements are equally important.

Children/Education
Founded in 1841, Punahou School was designed originally to provide a quality education to the children of Congregational missionaries, allowing them to stay in Hawai'i with their families, instead of being sent away to school. The first class had 15 students. Today, this coeducational college preparatory day school enrolls over 3,750 students. We are nonsectarian but retain our Christian heritage. Currently, Punahou is divided into the Junior School (Kindergarten through grade 8) and the Academy (grades 9 through 12). The breadth and depth of the curriculum is supported by a robust wireless infrastructure and integrated technology tools, three libraries and a wide variety of media services. We also provide a rich and diverse arts program as well as a very successful athletic program that includes a long record of interscholastic athletic accomplishment for both boys and girls.

Dr. Thomas Lane, a veterinarian in Florida, thought that prison inmates would make excellent puppy raisers, and started the first guide-dog/prison program. Not only do inmates have unlimited time to spend with the puppies, but they benefit from the responsibility of being puppy raisers in ways that are especially important to their rehabilitation: they learn patience, what it is like to be completely responsible for a living being, how to give and receive unconditional love. PBB strives to meet the current needs of the communities in which we work and has expanded its goals accordingly. To help meet this demand, PBB added the training of explosive detection canines (EDCs) to its program.

Carbon offsetting via PURE offers everyone the opportunity to ‘do their bit’ to minimise their impact on the environment and ultimately to slow down the long term impact of climate change

In pursuit of these aims, Pushkin House has developed a lively and varied cultural programme on Russian literature, art, film, music, theatre and dance, as well as history, philosophy and politics. Events include lectures and talks, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, films, concerts and readings. The House also has its own reference library of Russian culture.

QEF works with people living with physical and learning disabilities or acquired brain injuries to gain new skills and increase independence. Whether it’s learning everyday life skills, rebuilding a life affected by brain injury, acquiring the skills to drive a specially adapted car or training for future employment QEF supports disabled people to achieve goals for life. QEF has created opportunities and support for disabled adults from across the UK by providing expert development, assessment, rehabilitation and training services. Many of our services provide residential care for disabled people to give them the support, care and focus that makes QEF so unique. These services, delivered through our four specialist services, offer the right combination of individual care and support to enable these people to become as independent as their disability permits and to establish their 'own lifestyles'.

Research/Dev
Our work is to provide research, resources and practical skills to assist the people by whatever means achievable to enable them to free themselves from the injustice of poverty imposed by others. We have run several major projects in Kabubbu, Uganda, and are now concentrating on self-sustainability. Our focus is to partner with the lives of those in need. We seek to do this through professional research of the needs and then seek to encourage others to partner in meeting those needs. Not as 'one-off' handouts but through an on-going partnering process between individuals and organisations in the United Kingdom and throughout the world with the orphans and their carers.

Human Rights
The Quixote Center is a band of "impossible dreamers" who joined together in 1976. We are a multi-issue, grassroots social justice organization with roots in the Catholic social justice tradition. Independent of church and government structures, the Center operates with an understanding that an educated and engaged citizenry is essential to making social change. For over 30 years, the Quixote Center has gathered together people of faith and conscience to organize highly effective campaigns for systemic change. The Quixote Center provides housing, incorporation, tax-exemption, legal status, accounting and technological services for a wide range of social justice projects. The Quixote Center has a strong board of directors and staff who plan, nurture and implement our work for justice. Center programs have educated and mobilized hundreds of thousands of people to end the U.S. Contra War in Nicaragua with a citizens' campaign of peace and material aid, supported democracy and reforestation in Haiti, promoted women's equality and countered homophobia in the Roman Catholic Church and civil society, and more.
