CONTESA says Thank you and Bye to long serving trustee Dominic

by CONTESA | 06 Jul 2020
It is with great sadness that CONTESA, a UK-based charity providing grants to Zambian grass-roots organisations to alleviate the suffering of orphans, vulnerable children and communities, announces the resignation of long serving trustee Dominic Wareham. Dominic has been a trustee since 2010 although his involvement and support of CONTESA started in 2007 when he first accompanied Esnat on a trustee visit to CONTESA programmes and projects in Zambia. Dominic has worked very closely with retiring Chair Esnat and accompanied her on 4 visits to programmes and projects in Zambia.
Dominic said
‘ It’s been really wonderful to see the projects and programmes that CONTESA has initiated and supported and the number of children who have been assisted through the feeding and education programmes and to see how it changed the lives of the children who have been helped by CONTESA and also being able to provide accommodation for those children who needed it. I enjoyed my visits to Zambia to see the progress of the projects and programmes and to be closely involved with their success. It has been a privilege to be a trustee with CONTESA and to be able to support thousands of orphans and vulnerable children’.
Dominic added that it seemed to be an appropriate time to look for a new challenge given Esnat’s retirement and the changing of CONTESA’s methodology.
CONTESA trustees said Dominic has been a brilliant trustee and added so much with his insightful contributions and his travels to Zambia to support the children.
All donations go to 100% approved projects and none to administration costs which are borne by the Trustees and gift aid refunds. Every little amount helps, no matter how small, so please help CONTESA to extend more grants to worthy organisations that are making a real difference.
