Our objectives are to provide support and care for elderly, infirm or unwanted large animals and to educate and promote an understanding of their needs.

SPEAR's centre is in Warwickshire with a network of Foster Homes in and around the Midlands. The charity fulfils a unique gap for the welfare of elderly and/or neglected horses, ponies, donkeys and other large animals. SPEAR was established as a registered charity in 1996. SPEAR has witnessed many horrific cases and work closely with the RSPCA, assisting them by nursing many animals suffering cruelty and neglect.
